Our Large Square “C” Biscuit Ration Box is a reproduction of the large, WWII 32 oz square “C” biscuit ration box.
Square C Biscuits appeared in a variety of rations, including the 5-in-1 and 10-in-1, as well as the jungle ration. They were an alternative to the rectangular K cracker that appeared in K-rations.
The large, 32 oz square biscuit box was included in the early version, 1942 pattern, 5-to-1 squad ration. It was also included in Menu #2 and Menu #4 of the 10-to-1 master carton.
1 large, 32 oz biscuit box was included in each of the 1942 pattern 5-1 meals.
Each Menu #2 and Menu #4 10-1 master carton called for 64 oz of square biscuits. Each First Half Menu box was packed with 1 32 oz large square biscuit box. Two first-half boxes and therefore, 2 large biscuit boxes made up each master carton. The 10-1 menu boxes were designed to be divided into two 5-1 rations if necessary.
