Description
Our switchblade comb is made of stainless steel and plastic with a push button open and a dummy “safety” switch. The comb works like a regular switchblade and has a “quick eject” function just like the real thing.
The switchblade comb’s history is vague, although it was a popular item with teens in the 1950s. Â The comb is patterned off the standard stiletto switchblade.
The Italian stiletto switchblade was a popular souvenir with troops stationed in Italy during the war. Upon returning home, the GIs made them popular in the US. Â Their reputation as a gang knife, though, got them banned in the US by 1954.
NOTE: This really does snap open like a switchblade. Open away from face. Not for small children.
