Description
The WWII V for Victory, Keep em Flying Kitchen Towel is a reproduction and is made of 100% cotton. It’s part of our homefront kitchen collection that features artwork from original iron-on transfers.
This hand towel mashes up two popular slogans of the day “V for Victory” and “Keep em Flying.”
No original transfers were destroyed in the making of these towels.
We found several original 1940s iron-ons that were sold to decorate textiles and garments at home. They come with simple how-to directions. We did finally find packaging for one set of these. One such envelope suggested putting them “on shirts, aprons, hankies, hats sweaters, etc.” They were likely targeted to housewives to spruce up handmade items.
