Description
This WAC Fort Lee VA T Shirt is a reproduction of an Original WAC PT shirt in our collection.
WAC training moved from Ft. Oglethorpe to newly renamed Fort Lee, Virginia after the war and is the current home of the WAC museum. WAC training remained at Ft Lee until 1954. Our original was named and came with the woman’s records and other information, so we know this shirt is from between 1947-1949. Please consult your unit commander if you have concerns about wearing this for WWII Reenacting.
Fun Fact:Â A similar t-shirt is worn by Rosalind Russell in the 1953 movie, Never Wave at a WAC.
These WAC T Shirt is screened by hand and variation in colors naturally occur as they did during WWII. Just like the original t shirts, this reproduction is 100% cotton with a period correct narrow 5/8″ neck, shorter sleeves and a slim/snug fit. This WAC t-shirt comes in women’s sizes.
These Ladies shirts have a tapered feminine fit that is close to the body. These Ladies shirts have a Junior fit and are very snug for our Misses customers. Most of our Missy customers wear a size larger than their normal tee shirt size. Customers looking for a loose fit and our Plus Size customers are usually more comfortable with the Unisex sized shirt.
