Description
The Allies Flags Puzzle is a reproduction of a WWI game, with 5 woodblocks and box. This is a vintage variation of the Rubrics cube puzzle. There were several designs of this puzzle made during WWI.
“The object of the Puzzle is to arrange the 5 Blocks so that not more than 1 of each of the Flags shall appear on any one side of the series. Each of the 4 sides must show 1 British, 1 French, 1 Russian, 1 Belgian, 1 Japanese”
Such games were often marketed to send to soldiers as ways to combat boredom in the trenches.
