Description
WWII Bowman Field T shirt is a reproduction of an original WWII T Shirt from a photograph.
Bowman Field, during WWII, called the nation’s busiest airport. A bomber squadron was stationed at Bowman Field and then they called the base “Air Base City”. In addition to bomber squadron recruits, the base also housed the USAAF school for flight surgeons, medical technicians, and flight nurses.
During WWII, athletic style t shirts were available for purchase at the PX and were commonly used in training and athletic situations. PT shirts with a variety of different unit logos are well documented in many WWII photographs.
Just like the original t shirts, this reproduction is 100% cotton with a period-correct narrow 5/8″ neck, shorter sleeves and a slim/snug fit. These WWII Reproductions are true to size. This WWII Bowman Field Kentucky t-shirt comes in men’s sizes.
This tee shirt is screened by hand and variation in colors naturally occurs.
In addition, our WWII Reproduction PT shirts have a spec tag screened inside the neck.  Women’s sizes are available upon request. Please send an email to orders@wwiisoldier.com
