The WWII Brass Shotgun Shells Box is a reproduction of the 10 Cartridges, Shotgun – Brass 12 Gage No.00 Buckshot M19 – Lot RA B906, Remington Arms Company, Inc.
Brass 00 buckshot was the standard shotgun ammo used in combat.
During the first world war, the army issued paper shells. Unfortunately, paper shells absorbed moisture and swelled. Soon after, brass shell casings were made standard for combat purposes.
This ammo is still used by the US military and NATO. However, the brass has been replaced by plastic shell casings.
