This WWII Fort Indiantown Gap T shirt is a reproduction of an original WWII design. The shirt says U.S. Army Indiantown Gap Military Reservation. The location has been a Fort in Pennsylvania since 1755 and was called Fort Indiantown Gap, but in 1941, the base was renamed Indiantown Gap Military Reservation (IGMP). In 1975, it was renamed Fort Indiantown Gap.
During WWII, athletic style t shirts were available for purchase at the PX and were commonly used in training and athletic situations. PT shirts with a variety of different unit logos are well documented in many WWII photographs.
